Awsa is a London-based singer and songwriter. As a solo artist Awsa has performed on stages as diverse as the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, the Royal Albert Hall, Koko and Notting Hill Arts Club and for events ranging from weddings and birthdays to fashion shows. As a backing vocalist, Awsa has sung for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Emeli Sandé, Stevie Wonder, Gorgon City and David Guetta. From acoustic and intimate to a full blown band, Awsa offers a range of shows tailored to your HOME event. Awsa is an entertainer and does not provide background music: but if you want a live performance, whether an intimate show to sit back and enjoy or one that has all your guests dancing and singing along, then Awsa is your HOMEtainer.

Description

Comprising of Awsa on vocals accompanied by an acoustic guitarist* this stripped back, easy set up provides the perfect intimate HOME (or office) gig for your guests. Perfect for a pre or post dinner gig to either soothe, lift or rev up your guests – depending on the set list you choose. The musicians will be amplified with portable equipment to ensure the best sound for the evening. *If you have a grand piano and prefer Awsa to be accompanied by a pianist, this is also doable. Sets will be tweaked to accommodate the accompanying instrument. ________ Options for set lists - Spotify Playlists can be provided as a reference for each of these setlists. - Please contact Awsa so she can provide the links. Kindly note that whilst a selection of songs from these lists will form your set list, the exact songs chosen will be influenced by the specific band set up as well as your personal preferences. Soulful chill - The perfect list curated to set an intimate and engaging atmosphere for you and your guests. Running through well known tunes from old school soul classics by Roberta Flack, Etta James and Aretha to present day songs by John Mayer and London Grammar, this set will wrap itself around your guests and sing them to a good place. A selection of songs from the Spotify reference list will be played, influenced by the set up of musicians chosen. Motown classics - This list brings an upbeat, funky vibe to any gathering. Songs with a mid tempo drive, happy spirit and cool feel help create a playful atmosphere for your guests to engage in. Whether they want to sing along, kick back and bop their head or throw some shapes, this set list will lift up and bring together any group of people who want to have a good time. Poptastic Party - Running the gauntlet from 80s pop to present day dance, this list will have your guests singing along and rocking out from beginning to end. Inspired by an exclusive London wedding who insisted on a roof-raising experience, this setlist brings a club vibe right to your doorstep. Whether your guests want to just experience the show, join in or dance; these songs are perfect for a party.
